Update.....

I thought it was time for a little update. Days just fly by and before you know it, another week has passed by. Tommorow Caden is six weeks old. We had a check-up with the health nurse today and he is doing just great. Putting on heaps of weight - he came in at just under 5kg. As you can see in the photo's, he is getting very cute chubby cheeks. He's still smiling heaps, loves making eye contact and baby noises. He's just a pleasure!! These photo's were taken last night at the dinner table while in his dad's arms. He even put on a little smile for the camera.

I also managed a card this week for someone in our church whose just had a baby boy! And I got to use my new Nursery Necessities with the co-ordinating wheel Nursery Letters. This is one of the sets from Septembers Promotion!! I'm glad I finally got this one as I know I'll be using it heaps in my scrapbooking as well.

The layout I've used is CASED from the Idea Book & Catalogue - pg 85 and is also a challenge for this week over on the Demo Forum and Makeesha's blog. There are so many great cards in the Idea Book and it's so easy to pick one, choose different colours and a stamp set and make it your own. Quite often, we can over look this valuable resource when stamping and looking for idea's. I'm def. going to try and use it more often now after being inspired by Makeesha's great idea's from the Regionals.

Colour Challenge, SU markers & my little 'button'

I'm back with a card for Colour Inspiration #22 from Kristina Werner. When I saw the colours, I wanted to create a card and I knew just which stamp set to use.
So I've used Fabulous Flowers. With my Stampin'Up marker pens I've coloured in the flower, imitating one of the flowers in the shower curtain. I love how it turned out, nice and simple. And I got to use my Burgandy wide grosgrain, the colour I ordered by mistake!! I think it compliments the card nicely.

Just a reminder about my offer for the Stampin'Up marker pens - 10% off for the month of September. This card shows just one of the many ways you can use these pens.
And I can't leave you without a picture of my little 'button'. Here he is sucking his thumb and I think it's so cute the way he does it. It's a bit random and he doesn't find his thumb all the time, but when he does, he just loves it.

Update......

Just a little update on us...... The days are flying by so quickly. Caden is nearly four weeks old already. We are all enjoying our little 'man'. On Sunday, I managed to get some cute pictures of the boys holding their little brother - don't they look so proud. They've adjusted well to having a baby in the house. They are getting used to me being very occupied with Caden and are being very big helpers around the home. They love giving him cuddles and are always asking lots of cute questions.
Most of my days are taken up with caring for Caden, which I'm lovin' so much. Since it's just me and him at home during the day, he's being spoilt with lots of love and cuddles. For now, everything else can wait!!

We had some special news yesterday, a new arrival in our family. My brother and sister-in-law have had a baby boy. So Caden has a little playmate!! We can't wait to see them in a few days time and give little Dylan a cuddle. Today I had some spare moments and sat down in my craft room to make a baby card. It felt so good to stamp and be creative. So here's what I came up with.

I just love this colour combination: Bashful Blue, Certain Celery and Pumpkin Pie with Whisper White. The base card has been stamped with a safety pin image from Short & Sweet. I've used Certain Celery and Pumpkin Pie DP. The main image is a cute little stamp from Stamping Bella. I bought it some time ago and have only just used it for the first time. I think it's such a sweet image. So it's been stamped in Black Stazon onto the Whisper White and then I've done some paper-piecing. The star has been coloured in with Bashful Blue ink and I've added some Dimensional Magic to make it shine. I've also used some of the gorgeous Styled Silver Hardware from the Spring Mini. I just love the little star brad and it worked perfectly for this card. The sentiment is from Short & Sweet as well. Then I've finished off the card with some paper piercing.

Well, I must go and get some rest before Caden wakes for his next feed. Til next time......

Baby Caden & Me

I'm back with more pictures to show you.... this time of me and Caden. We had a little photo shoot this morning, while he slept on my shoulder.

We are all doing well. Caden is going along nicely for us, sleeping and feeding, and in general, very content. The days are flying by, so I'm really taking the time just to enjoy these precious early days while he is still so little. Being a mum to a little baby again is just amazing and I'm loving it so much. So we are taking heaps of pictures to scrapbook a bit later on!!

So while I'm enjoying my little one, my Stampin'Up creations will be put on hold for a little bit. I have been working on some 'baby thank you's' so I will post them here in the next week or so. And I'm sure I'll be making the odd card or even scrap-book page which I'll share with you. I've put up my September special to the left - I'm hoping to have some samples to show you how versatile these marker pens are. You can email me for more information.
