love = life.paper.scrapbook sketch #2

just a bit of 'just because' scrapbooking - very rare these days but this was fun.  I was digging around thru some older photo's and found this one of my oldest boy - taken in 2009 - wow, I can tell he's grown up so much in these past few years ☺
I've also played along with Sketch #2 at Life.Paper.Scrapbook
I loved the circle elements of the sketch and as I tend to do with sketches - stayed true to the design.  Here are some close-up's:

...I've cut circles from some packaging - love the spots - and then stamped around each circle element using assorted stamps ... a little chevron bag is from The Greatest View - I purchased some of their goodies recently and am LOVING them ... and a wood veneer from Studio Calico ...
... these alphabet letters are by Heidi Swapp - they are the Colour Magic Chipboard Alphas and I've used them with Colour Shine - Mustard ... the little word stickers are by MME ...
... some strips of MME paper and more of the cute little word stickers - so great for journalling ... I've used a Kaisercraft rub-on quote on the photo ...
... a flair button from The Greatest View and another circle element...

And here is the sketch - so much room for different interpretations - I love all the white space ☺
Thanks for coming by - I can't believe we are nearly on to March - another month means all new challenges to look forward to - so I will have lots to share soon ☺

loved so very much

I have one last page to share using the delightful collection Scoot by Echo Park - you can find this one in The Scrapbook Store.

This is a very recent photo of my youngest on a beach outing - he was sitting on this wooden swing and I got the most beautiful photo's - so you may see a few more ☺☺
I've used up all the left-over bits from my kit - creating strips of paper and also a banner with some of the great patterns.  I've also added in some Hambly overlay and a cute lightbulb chipboard piece from Scrap FX.  Here are some close-up's:

... the layered elements of pattern paper, stickers and Studio Calico Frame ... I love the Kaisercraft Sparklets - they definitely add some shine to your page ...

... the title is the 12x12 sticker sheet from this collection - great for titles ... I've added white gesso to the lightbulb chipboard - just to give it some texture ...
... and the banner made from a circle punch - have also been used the Silhouette again ☺ ...

camping adventures

I'm going along nicely with my DT kit for February for The Scrapbook Store - this collection Scoot by Echo Park has been heaps of fun.
I've gone with a more 'scenic photo' of my boys jumping into the pool at Pemberton - this one makes me laugh (as my journalling states)  they had their snorkle and goggles on, when it wasn't very clear water that they were jumping in to - LOL ☺
I've used some of the pattern papers to mat the photo and then used some of the papers to create some lettering and shapes using the Silhouette ☺  Have also used more chevron washi and some lovely twine.  Here are some close-up's:
... my typewriter journalling ...

... sticker letters from this Echo Park collection ... I have a manilla tag peaking out from behind the photo too ...

 ... some of my Silhouette cut-out's ...
... and more from the Silhouette as well as the washi tape along the side ...

love your many expressions

Happy Monday - hope you've had a great day.  I'm sharing the new challenge over at The Studio Challenges - if you love washi tape - you will LOVE this challenge - the challenge is to create a page using no pattern papers and be creative with washi tape
This challenge was a good way for me to dig into my washi tape supplies and actually use them!!  And I loved the idea of not using pattern paper for a change ☺

Here's my page:

I've used washi tape in long strips behind my series of photo's and then filled in the spaces with stamps. I love my stamps and this was a fun way to add dimension to the page without using any pattern papers.
Here are some close-up's:

... different styles of washi to compliment the colours in the photo's - also a chevron stamp in the blue ink ...

... another view of the washi and also a very cute bike stamp from My Minds Eye ...

... I've also used my Silhouette for the title using some plain cardstock from Stampin'Up ...

Please link up your creation at the blog and be sure to check out the amazing inspiration from the Design Team - there are heaps of creative idea's.  Thanks for coming by ☺

Here is my first page:
I've used colours in the picture to go with the papers and then picked out yellow to add some 'pop' to the page - love how it turned out - such a fun and happy page with my little man ☺
Along with the papers in this collection, I also got to create with Scrap FX chipboard and some gorgeous washi tape.  Here are some close-up's of the details:

... the beautiful chipboard from Scrap FX - I've covered it in gesso to create some texture, then painted over with some of the fabulous Silks Acrylic Glaze to give it some shine ...

16 years

Hello - I can now share that I'm on the Design Team for The Studio Challenges ☺  Yay - this is going to be fun - they have two awesome challenges each month.  The latest one is a theme challenge:  all about love and to include more than 5 hearts ♥
Here's what I've created:
I've used some pictures from our anniversary of last year - we went out for dinner with some friends and managed to get these fine snaps ☺I've used various hearts as you can see: some wooden, stamped, stickers and punch-out's.  Most of the papers are by Echo Park - Everyday Eclectic - such a great collection.  Here are some close-up's:

... I've used the negative - a scrap piece of paper I had laying around ...
... loving the combination of stickers, wooden accents, stamps and even a glitter heart ...
...some journalling with my typewriter...

Check out the challenge blog for details and more inspiration from the fabulous Design Team - we hope you can play along ☺

capture the moment

Hello - hope you are all having a great weekend.  I'm just popping in to share my page for the latest challenge at White with 1 - it's the month of love - the challenge is: White + Pink + Hearts
I snapped this very sweet moment of my two neices - big sister giving her little baby sister a cuddle - so precious ♥  So I've created a page around this special picture using various hearts punched out from pattern paper and different shades of pink!  Here are some close-up's:
... some of the texture that I've added in using the Doily Mask from Kaisercraft ...
... the various hearts and embellishments - loving the little wooden hearts ♥ ...
... and the sticker title - I love adding in different words and titles from pattern papers and stickers - have also used my typewriter for the journalling ...

We hope you can join in with this lovely challenge - there are three great sponsors donating prizes this month - check out the blog for more details and inspiration for this challenge ☺

Welcome to a new month - already February - I'm sure this year is going to fly by too☺  The new sketch is up at The Scrapbook Store - I really loved creating with this fabulous sketch.
 ... and here's my page:
... using one of my favourite pictures from this Summer!!
I've used papers and embellishments from Studio Calico, adding in some fun textures using stencils and also stamping for the circle element.  Here are some close-up's:
... lots of little layers - loving these really cool Studio Calico Frames at the moment ...  I've used a MME stamp to create the circle element ...
... the very cute chipboard balloon from The Scrapbook Store (their own line of chipboard) - I've used some Hambly to go under the balloon ...
... the sticker letters are by Simple Stories - Sn@p Life ... I always love to outline my letters in a thin marker pen ...
... and this fun title using die-cut wood veneer pieces by Studio Calico ... just above is the roller date stamp by American Craft ...

I hope you feel inspired to join in with the sketch challenge for this month - as always there is a $40.00 voucher for the winner!!  Pop over to the gallery for more inspiration ☺
