happy

Hey, there and a happy Friday to you.
I'm sneaking in a challenge before the month of February ends!!
The White with 1 challenge for this month uses one of my favourite colours, so I couldn't pass it up ☺

 ww1 celosia orange

 and here's my page:

It was fun to gather all kinds of different supplies that used orange!  I used a few older things from my stash and also played with some new products!
Here are some close-up's:

The word 'happy' which is also my title, was made using the Heidi Swapp die-cut - I used watercolour paper and then added the orange colour with my watercolour paints.
I've also used a Heidi Swapp photo frame!  These are shiny and glittery; they add some sparkle to the page.
Here I cut out words from some scrapbook papers - I love the different fonts.
And my little bit of journal work with my trusty manual typewriter ☺

Thanks for coming by and hope you have a wonderful weekend. ♥

wip: wedneday

 Hello - it's mid week and I'm sharing a few WIP's ☺
Two weeks ago I posted HERE!
I've been playing around with t-shirt yarn. It's rather fun to work with.
My floor cushion is on hold as I wait for more orange yarn, but I did pick up some black from our local Bunnings in the gardening section.
I decided to try and make a floor rug using the yarn and also cotton twine.
I kind of 'winged' it with the pattern and hence it didn't stay flat.  Instead of a floor rug, its made it onto our outdoor setting table as a mat ☺  I kind of like it there; even if it wasn't how I planned it.

Looks like a spider likes the spot too!!!!
I'm still hoping to try out a floor rug; next time I will follow a pattern ☺

You will remember this colourful project, especially if you follow me on instagram.
It's coming along nicely and makes me happy when I'm working on it.  I love the pops of colour against the white!
I have a long way to go; I'm not even counting how many I still need to make!

I like having a few projects on the go at one time.  Makes it interesting.  This is one that I started late last year.
I'm following this pattern from HERE.
I'm just loving this stitch - I plan to do 10 rows in each colour and I have about 10 different colours picked out.  I'm calling it my retro blanket.  You will need to follow along as I reveal more of the colours ............... ☺
I'm hoping to finish this one for Winter ☺

Looking forward to sharing more of these projects as they progress ☺

Today I'm linking up with Bec at Handmade + Home

Wishing you a creative week.
That's all for this Wednesday ♥♥

.... and here is my take on the sketch:

I love the 'block style' of this sketch - it was fun to co-ordinate pattern papers and fit them together like a puzzle.
I've used lots of goodies from the Jan kit - Lots of Love.

Here are a few close-up's:

wip: wednesday

Hello - the school holidays are now over and it's all back into school routine.  I love school holidays but I also love routines - there has to be a balance ☺
I managed a little bit of crafting over the Summer break, but not much sharing here.  I'm going to try and share some of the projects I'm working on every Wedneday.
So here goes my first WIP: Wednesday ☺

I have already shared this Starburst Granny Square Blanket - it's slowly growing.  I'm so happy with the colour choice and how the white makes each colour pop.  It's turning out to be a lovely project.

I recently purchased some XL Ribbon yarn from Paper Cotton Love - a sweet little online store - you must check it out ☺
I decided to use some of the orange yarn to make a floor cushion - I'm using the free pattern available from Paper Cotton Love - so far it's going well.
The size 12 bamboo crochet hook which I also purchased from the same shop, is great to work with.  It's making the project come together with ease.
I'm going to be running out of this gorgeous orange before the project is finished, so I need to re-stock my supplies very soon ☺
I'm looking forward to sharing more of this fun project as it grows!

That's all for this Wednesday - wishing you a creative week ♥
